How I'm Building Income Online While Working a Full-Time Corporate Job
If you've ever sat at your desk during another long workday and thought, “There has to be another way to make money,” you're definitely not alone.
I'm Amber — a mom of three, finance lover, corporate employee, fitness enthusiast and the creator behind Bezi Design Studio.
I didn't start building an online business because I hated working.
I started because I was tired of feeling like providing for my family meant sacrificing time with them.
My 9–5 wasn't always a 9–5. Some days became 12-hour workdays, and as a career-driven mom, I found myself facing a question I think a lot of working mothers quietly struggle with:
How do I build the financial security my family needs without missing the life I'm working so hard to provide for?
I haven't figured out every answer yet.
But I decided I wasn't going to wait until I had everything figured out to start.
Why I Started Building Income Online
I have a degree in finance, so I've always been interested in personal finance, investing, retirement planning and building long-term financial security.
And one thing I've become increasingly passionate about is having more than one way to earn income.
For me, building income online isn't about getting rich overnight.
It's about options.
It's about creating something that belongs to me.
And ultimately, it's about working toward a life where I don't have to choose between being financially responsible and being the mom who can say:
“Yes, I'll be there.”
Yes to the school function.
Yes to the appointment.
Yes to spending time together.
Yes without immediately thinking about the work waiting for me.
That's the freedom I'm working toward.
The Online Income Streams I'm Building
Instead of relying on one single idea, I've started exploring several ways to build income online.
1. E-Commerce & Dropshipping
Through Bezi Design Studio, I'm building an online store where I can curate products for women and families who love a combination of cute trends and timeless everyday finds.
Dropshipping allows me to test and sell products online without personally keeping every product in inventory.
I'm learning everything from product research and website design to SEO, marketing and social media along the way.
2. Print-on-Demand
I also use print-on-demand to create products featuring designs without having to purchase large amounts of inventory upfront.
What I love about this side of e-commerce is the creative freedom.
It allows me to experiment with designs, niches and products while continuing to learn what my audience actually wants.
3. Digital Products
Digital products are another income stream I'm working on building.
Unlike a physical product, a digital product can be created once and sold repeatedly without traditional inventory or shipping.
As someone who loves finance, planning, business and organization, this is an area I'm especially excited to continue exploring.
4. Affiliate Marketing
I also earn through affiliate marketing by sharing products and recommendations with my audience.
My Amazon Storefront allows me to curate the fitness, fashion, home, beauty, family, seasonal and trending products that catch my attention.
When someone purchases an eligible product through one of my affiliate links, I may earn a commission at no additional cost to them.
I'm Not Quitting My Job Tomorrow — I'm Building My Exit
This part is important.
I'm not writing this from the other side pretending I have some secret formula.
I'm still building.
I'm still working my corporate job.
I'm still raising three kids.
I'm still learning.
I'm still testing ideas.
Some things will work. Some probably won't.
But every product I list, blog I publish, video I create and lesson I learn is another brick in something I'm building for myself and my family.
My goal isn't to recklessly walk away from a career and hope everything works out.
My finance brain would never allow that anyway. 😂
My goal is to build additional income streams strategically until I've created choices for myself.
There's a big difference between running away from a job and building toward financial freedom.
I'm working on the second one.
To the Corporate Mom Who Feels Stuck...
Maybe you're reading this during your lunch break.
Maybe you've worked another 10- or 12-hour day.
Maybe you make decent money but somehow still find yourself checking your bank account before walking into the grocery store.
Maybe you're tired of missing things with your kids because work always seems to come first.
Or maybe you simply want something that's yours.
I get it.
And I want this blog to document what happens when an ordinary working mom decides to start building another option.
I'm going to share what I'm learning about e-commerce, dropshipping, print-on-demand, digital products, affiliate marketing, online business and building additional income streams — including the wins, mistakes and lessons along the way.
Eventually, I would love to turn everything I've learned into resources that help other working women start building something of their own too.
But first?
I'm going to do it myself.
Follow the Journey 💕
Bezi Design Studio isn't just an online store to me.
It's the beginning of a much bigger goal.
A goal to build income.
Build freedom.
Be more present.
And hopefully show another corporate mom watching from the sidelines that she can start exploring what's possible too.
I'm Amber, and I'm building this one step at a time.
If you want to follow the real journey — not just the highlight reel — I'd love to have you along for it.
And follow me on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest for the behind-the-scenes journey as I build.
I'm not waiting for someday to create more options for my family. I'm starting now.
