Day 7 of Building My Clothing Brand: Ordering My First BZ Samples πŸ“¦πŸ€

Day 7 β€” I JUST ORDERED MY FIRST BZ SAMPLES! πŸ˜¬πŸ“¦

This might be the day I've been most excited about so far.

For the past week, Bezi has existed mostly on my computer.

I've chosen colors.

Created BZ pieces.

Made mockups.

Built Shopify pages.

Worked through pricing.

But today I finally clicked ORDER.

My first Bezi samples are officially on the way.

And suddenly this feels VERY real.

Why I'm Ordering Samples Before Selling

It would be easy to look at a mockup, think it looks amazing and immediately start promoting it.

But that's not how I want to build Bezi.

If I'm asking someone to spend her money on something with BZ on it, I want to know what she's actually getting.

A mockup can show me what a product is supposed to look like.

A sample tells me what it actually looks like.

There's a big difference.

What I'm Going to Check

When these packages arrive, I'm not just opening them to see whether they're cute.

I'm checking EVERYTHING. πŸ˜‚

Fabric quality.

Fit.

Comfort.

Stretch.

Stitching.

Color accuracy.

Logo placement.

Logo quality.

Sizing.

And most importantly:

Would I actually wear this?

Because if I wouldn't feel comfortable buying it myself, I don't want to expect someone else to.

Putting My Name Behind the Product

This part matters to me.

Bezi is becoming a personal brand.

There's a real person behind it.

Me.

When someone orders a BZ piece, they're trusting something I created and recommended.

I don't take that lightly.

I want Bezi to become a brand where customers know I've actually thought about the detailsβ€”not a store where I threw a logo onto something and hoped for the best.

And Yes...I'm Nervous πŸ˜‚

I'm excited.

But I'm definitely nervous too.

What if the color doesn't look like the mockup?

What if I hate the fabric?

What if the logo needs to move?

What if something fits completely differently than I expected?

That's exactly why I'm ordering samples.

I'd rather discover a problem before my customer does.

And if something isn't right?

We fix it.

That's part of building.

This Is Where the Mockup Meets Reality

I think that's what makes Day 7 feel different.

I've spent days staring at BZ on a screen.

Now I'm about to see whether the vision I've been building digitally translates into something I'd actually want hanging in my closet.

And I cannot WAIT to open that package.

Day 7: Samples Ordered. πŸ“¦

One week into documenting this journey:

Day 1: Starting my clothing brand.

Day 2: Choosing the Bezi colors.

Day 3: Creating my first BZ pieces.

Day 4: Making product mockups.

Day 5: Building my Shopify pages.

Day 6: Deciding my prices.

Day 7: ORDERING MY FIRST SAMPLES.

Seven days ago, this was an idea.

Today, pieces with BZ on them are being made and shipped to me.

That's pretty freaking cool. 🀍

And when they arrive?

We're opening that box TOGETHER. πŸ‘€πŸ“¦

I'll show you what they actually look like, what I love, what I don't and whether anything needs to change before I'm comfortable putting it in front of a customer.

Day 8: Creating Content for My Clothing Brand. πŸ“±

Because you can build the cutest brand in the world...

but people still have to know it exists.

Day 7 complete. 🀍
