Day 5: Building My Shopify Store for My Clothing Brand | Bezi

Day 5 of Building My Clothing Brand: Building My Shopify Product Pages ποΈπ€
Day 5 β we're officially putting BZ into the store.
Yesterday was all about creating product mockups and figuring out how I want Bezi pieces to look online.
Today?
I'm building the actual Shopify product pages.
And I'm quickly learning that uploading a picture and clicking βpublishβ is definitely NOT all there is to it. π
A Cute Product Isn't Enough
When you're shopping online, think about everything you want to know before you hit Add to Cart.
What does it look like?
What colors are available?
How does it fit?
What size should I order?
What makes it different?
And most importantly...
Why do I need this?
That's what I'm thinking about while building every Bezi product page.
Because I don't want someone to land on a BZ piece, think βthat's cuteβ and leave.
I want her to think:
βYep. That's going in my cart.β
Building Each Bezi Product Page
Today I'm working through all of those little pieces that turn a product into something that's actually ready to sell.
I'm adding:
Product titles.
Descriptions.
Mockups.
Color options.
Sizes.
Sizing information.
Product features.
SEO keywords.
Meta titles and descriptions.
And making sure everything actually looks good on the website.
Turns out there's a LOT happening behind that little Add to Cart button. π
I'm Thinking Like the Customer
One thing I'm trying to do differently is stop looking at the website only as the person who created it.
I'm trying to look at it as the woman shopping it.
If I landed on this page for the first time...
Would I understand what I'm buying?
Would the pictures make me want it?
Does the description answer my questions?
Can I easily choose my size and color?
Does the page feel trustworthy?
And...
Would I actually spend my money on this?
That last question matters.
Making Bezi Feel Like Bezi
I'm also paying attention to how the entire store looks together.
Yesterday's mockups helped create the visual identity.
Today I'm making sure that same feeling carries into Shopify.
I want Bezi to feel:
Clean.
Feminine.
Modern.
Easy to shop.
And unmistakably BZ.
Because I'm not trying to build a website full of random products.
I'm trying to build a brand.
And Then There's SEO... π
My finance brain loves numbers.
My business brain loves strategy.
And apparently my newest obsession is figuring out how Google decides what products to show people. π
So I'm also working on Shopify SEO.
That means thinking about what someone would actually type into Google when they're looking for a product like mine.
Not just:
βBZ leggings.β
Because if you don't know Bezi yet, you're probably not searching for BZ leggings.
You might be searching:
Women's high-waisted workout leggings.
Cute women's gym clothes.
Women's activewear.
Butt-lifting workout leggings.
Matching workout sets.
Cute athleisure outfits.
Those are the people I want to help discover Bezi.
Building a Store One Product at a Time
This part of building the brand isn't necessarily glamorous.
There are no dramatic launch parties happening over here. π
It's me sitting at a computer...
Writing descriptions.
Moving photos.
Changing titles.
Checking links.
Fixing something I accidentally messed up.
Looking at the mobile version.
Changing it again.
And probably refreshing Shopify approximately 100 times.
But this is the work.
This is what building from zero actually looks like.
Day 5: The Store Is Coming Together π€
Five days into documenting this journey:
Day 1: Starting my clothing brand journey.
Day 2: Choosing the Bezi colors.
Day 3: Creating my first BZ pieces.
Day 4: Making my product mockups.
Day 5: Building the Shopify pages where you'll actually be able to shop them.
Little by little...
Bezi is becoming a real clothing brand.
And tomorrow we're tackling one of the biggest questions:
How much should I actually charge for this stuff? π³π
Day 6: Deciding My Prices.
Follow along because we're building this thing together.
Day 5 complete. π€
