Day 2: Choosing Colors for My Clothing Brand | Bezi

Day 2: Choosing Colors for My Clothing Brand | Bezi

Day 2 of Building My Clothing Brand: Choosing the Colors 🎨🤍

Day 2 of building my clothing brand — and today we're talking COLOR.

When I first started creating Bezi, I thought choosing colors would be one of the easy parts.

Pick some cute colors. Add the logo. Done.

Yeah...not exactly. 😂

Today I've been focusing on choosing the colors that actually fit the Bezi brand and work with my BZ logos.

Because I'm quickly realizing there's a difference between choosing colors I personally like and creating a cohesive clothing brand people can recognize.

What Do I Want Bezi to Feel Like?

When someone sees a Bezi piece, I want it to feel:

Feminine. Modern. Minimal. Strong. Elevated.

I want colors that work beautifully in the gym but don't feel so trendy that they'll be out of style next season.

Because that's really what I'm trying to create with Bezi — activewear that feels current without becoming disposable when the next trend arrives.

And Then There's the Logo...

One thing I'm paying close attention to is how the BZ branding looks against each color.

Some combinations look amazing with a crisp white BZ logo.

Others need black.

And sometimes a color I LOVE on its own just doesn't feel right once the branding is added.

That's been today's lesson:

The product color and the logo can't be two separate decisions. They have to work together.

Building a Collection, Not Random Products

I'm also trying to stop looking at every piece individually.

Instead, I'm asking:

Would these colors look like they belong together if someone saw the entire Bezi collection?

That's important to me.

I want someone scrolling through Bezi Design Studio to immediately recognize the aesthetic.

I want you to eventually see the colors, the minimal BZ logo and the overall style and think:

“That's Bezi.”

Before you even read the name.

That's the goal.

The Details Nobody Sees

This is exactly why I wanted to document this journey.

Customers eventually see the finished leggings, sports bras, shorts and tops.

They don't necessarily see me behind the scenes comparing colors, moving logos around and staring at two nearly identical shades thinking:

“Okay...but WHICH ONE looks more Bezi?” 😂

These little decisions don't feel very little when you're trying to create something that's actually yours.

And today, I'm learning that building a clothing brand is just as much about what you DON'T choose as what you do.

Day 2: In Progress 🤍

I don't have every Bezi color figured out yet.

And that's okay.

I'm not rushing this just so I can say it's finished.

I want to build a recognizable women's activewear and athleisure brand with colors and designs that feel intentional.

So today I'm choosing.

Testing.

Changing my mind.

Testing again. 😂

And slowly watching the Bezi identity come together.
