Day 1 of Building My Clothing Brand: Starting Bezi From the Ground Up 🤍

Day 1. Here we go.

I've officially decided to document what it actually looks like to build my own clothing brand from the ground up.

No pretending I have everything figured out.

No overnight-success story.

Just me — Amber, a mom of three, full-time corporate employee, fitness lover and the woman behind Bezi Design Studio — figuring it out one step at a time.

And today is Day 1.

Why I'm Building a Clothing Brand

Bezi started because I wanted something bigger than another paycheck.

I wanted options.

As a working mom, I've spent plenty of days trying to balance a career, kids, finances, fitness and everything else that comes with being an adult.

I've worked those days that were supposed to be eight hours and somehow turned into 12.

And eventually I realized:

I don't want to spend my entire life working so hard to provide a great life for my kids that I miss actually living it with them.

So I'm building something of my own.

Why Clothing & Activewear?

Fitness has always been a huge part of who I am, so creating clothing — especially women's activewear and everyday athleisure — feels natural.

I love pieces that make you feel confident without trying too hard.

The leggings you reach for constantly.

The sports bra that's actually cute enough to show.

The workout top you throw on with leggings and somehow look completely put together.

The pieces that work for the gym, errands, school drop-off, mom life and everything in between.

That's the direction I want for Bezi.

Modern. Feminine. Minimal. Strong.

What I'm Working on Right Now

Day 1 isn't glamorous. 😂

Right now, I'm working on the things nobody really sees when they look at a finished clothing brand:

Finding the right products. Creating designs. Choosing colors. Testing logo placement. Building product pages. Creating mockups. Learning print-on-demand. Working on pricing. Figuring out marketing. And constantly asking myself, “Would I actually wear this?”

If the answer is no, I don't want it representing Bezi.

I'm learning that building a clothing brand isn't simply putting a logo on a shirt.

It's figuring out what you want your brand to represent.

What I Want Bezi to Represent

I don't want Bezi to just be another logo on another pair of leggings.

I want it to represent the woman wearing them.

The woman working toward something.

The woman squeezing in a workout before work.

The mom building something after her kids go to bed.

The woman quietly working on becoming stronger — physically, financially and mentally.

That's where the vision for Bezi is starting to become much bigger than clothing.

I'm Building This While Working Full Time

And yes — I'm doing this while still working my corporate job.

I'm not starting with unlimited money, unlimited time or an entire team behind me.

I'm building between work, motherhood and real life.

Some days I'll probably get a lot done.

Other days? Getting one product listed might be the win.

But I'm okay with that.

Because slow progress is still progress.

I'm Taking You With Me

Instead of waiting until Bezi looks perfectly polished and then telling everyone how I built it, I want to document the process while I'm actually doing it.

I'll share the wins.

I'll share what doesn't work.

I'll share the products, designs, mistakes, decisions and lessons.

And hopefully one day we can come back to this post and say:

“Look where Day 1 started.”

I'm excited.

I'm nervous.

I have a LOT to learn.

But I'm doing it anyway.
